The Role:

  • We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our restaurant operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving revenue growth.
  • This leadership role requires strategic thinking, effective people management, and a strong service focus to exceed guest expectations at each contact point.
  • You will be responsible for establishing procedures and policies through consultation with management and maintaining them through training, workplace observation, coaching, and development of individuals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership over the outlet, driving commitment to key areas of responsibility.
  2. Oversee the administration, orientation, and induction of all ambassadors in the department, ensuring seamless integration into the team.
  3. Be present in the hotel as required by business demands or guest and ambassador needs, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
  4. Manage the effective use of yield within the restaurant for all meal periods, optimising revenue opportunities while maintaining cost controls.
  5. Supervise, develop, and support ambassadors to ensure standards and procedures are observed, delivering a consistent high level of service for all guest contact.
  6. Achieve a level of service quality and professionalism that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests and market expectations.
  7. Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to positive problem-solving and efficient service delivery.
  8. Ensure all ambassadors under direct supervision are managed in accordance with the relevant award, individual contract, workplace agreement, or collective/individual agreement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 4 years managerial experience with a proven track record of managing large teams.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international wines.
  • Full availability across 7 days, AM and PM.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia; no sponsorship available.
