About the Role

The State of Queensland is seeking a skilled Clinical Coder to join their team. As a Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately assigning specific morbidity and procedural classifications to patient episodes to meet data reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake functions related to coding, grouping, and quality to ensure timely and accurate completion of all inpatient coding morbidity data.
  • Contribute to fostering a team approach to meeting monthly deadlines, education, consistency of coding, and improving data quality.
  • Accurately assign specific morbidity and procedural classifications to patient episodes to meet data reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a broad range of clinical coding skills and knowledge across various specialties.
