About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Accountant to join our dynamic team at Spotlight Group Holdings.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving Month-End Close: Overseeing the efficient completion of month-end close processes, ensuring timely delivery of financial reports.
  • Maintaining Financial Integrity: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the chart of accounts and trial balance through the preparation of monthly and ad-hoc general journals.
  • Reconciling Financial Positions: Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Delivering Financial Insights: Preparing insightful month-end close reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborating with Auditors: Liaising with external auditors to facilitate smooth audits and ensure compliance.
  • Driving Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes and increase efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in retail accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for retail.
