The Opportunity:
We're seeking a passionate and proactive Senior Consultant to join our Transport Advisory team in Brisbane. You'll have a good understanding of traffic engineering in the context of urban and regional transport systems. Your expertise will include providing advice on traffic engineering assessment and design, freight and logistics, and development impacts.
This role will work closely with our experienced Director of Transport Advisory and will play a part in supporting employee growth and development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a range of services including advice on traffic engineering, land use/transport integration, approval processes, and management.
- Applying advanced traffic engineering and management principles to provide advice on land use/transport planning, transport network design, due diligence assessments, master plans, and the approval process and management.
- Supporting the delivery of strategic transport advisory projects and other national initiatives.
- Providing technical and management support to the Transport Advisory team.
- Identifying opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and business units across Urbis and Cistri.
- Generating new work and profitable business performance through the maintenance and building of new and existing client relationships.
- Nurturing and developing individual staff members through effective coaching and mentoring.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
- Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
- Proven track record of delivering and managing transport projects preferably in Queensland.
