About This Role

We are seeking a qualified Youth Services Officer to provide direct supervision and care to young people from diverse backgrounds in the Broken Hill Police Station cells. The successful candidate will be responsible for escorting young people to court and gathering information to share with relevant authorities.

This is an on-call casual role, ideal as a second job, requiring flexibility and availability to work over 24 hours. If you are passionate about working with young people and possess excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Requirements

  • An Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or visa holder with unlimited working rights.
  • A minimum Provisional 2 NSW Driver's licence.
  • The 'Provide First Aid Certificate' (HLTAID003) qualification or willingness to obtain.
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
  • Availability to complete paid training to prepare for the role.
  • A National Background Police Check.
  • A Medical and Fitness Assessment.
