Mechanical Fitter Job Description

This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team contributing to the development of a world-class underground mine at Kathleen Valley.

  • As a Mechanical Fitter, you will conduct repairs and maintenance on fixed plant and site infrastructure.
  • You will provide advanced diagnostics and fault finding on various equipment.
  • Closely collaborate with maintenance management for effective work planning and scheduling.

To succeed in this position, you must uphold high standards of safety, housekeeping, and waste minimization.

We have a plan in place to produce lithium and meet our customer commitments well into the future. Our process facility is state-of-the-art, equipped with new equipment and facilities.

About the Skills Required

The ideal candidate will possess excellent mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a collaborative team.

Key qualifications include:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the mining or manufacturing industry.
  • Affiliation with recognized industry certifications (e.g., First Aid, Work-at-Height).
