In the role of Refinery Operator, you will be tasked with managing the refinery plant's operations safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to quality standards and established protocols. Your work will align with Sugar Australia's commitment to fulfilling customer demands for sugar production through the operation of a top-tier manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental protocols relevant to the facility and comply with Wilmar's onsite regulations. Participate in safety risk evaluations, recognize hazards, and report safety incidents to the appropriate personnel. Operate machinery and equipment on-site competently and safely, following prescribed procedures. Contribute to identifying process efficiencies, equipment improvements, and resource optimization to reduce operational costs and minimize waste. Utilize SCADA systems and testing instruments to verify, control, and process input products for subsequent processing stages. Conduct all quality assurance checks and accurately document all findings and results as required. Identify and report any issues related to product quality. Actively engage in the Achievement Plan and monthly milestone processes to foster a culture of performance and development. Provide support and guidance to colleagues as necessary. Foster and maintain strong relationships across various departments.Qualifications and Skills:
High School Certificate. Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written. Willingness to work shifts. Problem-solving skills and conceptual thinking. Ability to manage pressure and work-related stress effectively. Enjoyment of teamwork and fair treatment of colleagues. Previous experience in a sugar factory environment with shift work is advantageous. Strong communication, initiative, and decision-making skills are essential.
