Whitehaven Coal is seeking a skilled Dragline Operator to join our team in a coal mining environment. As a Dragline Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining dragline equipment, contributing to the team's success, and achieving production targets.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operating Dragline Equipment: You will operate the dragline and other supporting equipment following safety protocols and procedures.
- Pre-Operational Inspections: Conduct routine checks on the dragline to ensure it's in proper working condition, report issues for repair to the Supervisor.
- Collaborating with the Team: Work closely with the mining team to meet production targets, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitoring Performance: Continuously assess equipment performance and make adjustments to enhance productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, report hazards, and actively contribute to a safe workplace for yourself and others.
**Requirements:**
- Dragline Operating Experience in open-cut mining.
- RII Competency Certification for Dragline and Dozer Operations.
- Commitment to Whitehaven Values, particularly teamwork and safety.
- A 'C Class' Driver's License (unrestricted).
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Standard 11 Certification (for Queensland mining safety compliance).
