Glen Osmond Grove Care Community, part of Opal HealthCare, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team. As a valued member of our care community, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Care Worker who can provide person-centred care and support to our residents. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, and promoting the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment by ensuring resident rooms and common areas are clean and tidy.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or Aged Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Previous experience working in a care setting, preferably in aged care or disability services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to delivering person-centred care and supporting the independence and dignity of residents.
