We are seeking an accomplished Principal Engineer to join our Retail Technology team, responsible for building the digital platform of tomorrow. With a strong background in software development and cloud platforms, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of banking.

The successful candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and deploying innovative technology solutions that meet the highest quality standards while balancing security, performance, availability, and maintainability concerns.

As a Principal Engineer, you will lead engineers in implementing complex technical solutions in a cloud-based environment and ensure the adoption of industry best engineering practices.

You will also play a mentoring role, providing technical assistance to engineers in the team and ensuring the implementation of appropriate cyber security controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design technology solutions to meet the highest possible quality standards
  • Deliver core technical strategies to achieve business outcomes
  • Implement innovative technical solutions to complex problems
  • Translate project vision into actionable plans
  • Influence teams across boundaries to ensure faster decision-making

Requirements:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. Experience or exposure with some of the following technologies will set you up for success in this team:

  • C# .NET Core .NET Framework Kafka Microservices
  • JavaScript frameworks - Angular React
  • Solid technical background in building and designing cloud platforms using AWS
  • Expertise in setting up DevOps CI/CD pipelines logging and monitoring tools
  • Databases - SQL Server Oracle Mongo DB Aurora
