The NSW Education Standards Authority is seeking an experienced Data Leader to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a significant impact on educational outcomes for students across NSW.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic leader to lead end-to-end project planning and governance, ensuring timely and effective delivery of complex data initiatives. You will oversee risk management and quality assurance processes for NAPLAN data projects, collaborate strategically with stakeholders, and use your excellent communication skills to build relationships and develop a high-performing team of data professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic project planning and governance to ensure timely and effective delivery of complex data initiatives.
  • Oversee risk management and quality assurance processes for NAPLAN data projects.
  • Collaborate strategically with stakeholders to communicate project goals and manage expectations.
  • Build relationships and develop a high-performing team of data professionals using excellent communication skills.
  • Provide high-quality advice on complex data issues and ensure project objectives align with the authority's strategic priorities.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a strong team leader with experience managing data analysts and engineers, as well as proficiency in designing and implementing data solutions using coding languages such as SQL, R, and Python. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated ability to develop and navigate complex stakeholder relationships, from internal departments to external educational bodies.

Salary:
