We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative researcher to lead our efforts in eye and immunology research.

  • This role involves conducting cutting-edge studies on ocular immunology with a focus on uveitis, developing and validating new biomarkers, and improving patient care.
  • The successful candidate will secure funding and publish high-impact research papers to advance the field of eye research.
  • You will mentor and supervise graduate students and early-career researchers, establishing and nurturing partnerships with academics, clinicians, industry, and professional associations to augment research impact.

You will contribute to the strategic direction of the research unit, including competitive research grant applications, and work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.

Key Requirements:
  • A PhD in a relevant research field is essential.
  • A nationally or internationally recognized research program in eye and/or vision science research is required.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills for managing research projects and teams are necessary.
  • Success in securing major competitive research grants or fellowships is expected.
  • Strong experience in research supervision and mentorship is required.
  • Expertise in human research ethics and clinical trial governance is crucial.
