HVDC Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled HVDC Project Manager - Transmission Line Specialist to lead the execution of medium/large size and technically complex projects for Hitachi Energy Australia Pty Ltd.
About This Role- This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- The successful candidate will need to have experience with HVDC equipment maintenance, refurbishment, and installation, as well as training and development in these areas.
- Lead project execution, ensuring all activities align with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environmental requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
- Coach and provide feedback for project staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Establish project execution approach, oversee project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources.
- Develop project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans, in collaboration with the Project Controls department.
- Maintain accurate records of project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate and manage project risks, ensuring that all identified risks are addressed and mitigated.
- Ensure project closure, contractually agreed upon terms, and formal acceptance by the customer.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating project progress and results.
- Comply with Group health, safety, and environmental directives, implementing instructions and regulations within the team, including subcontractors.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of project management experience, with PMP certification.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and demonstrated negotiation skills.
The estimated salary range for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
