Job Title

This position is focused on promoting and supporting clinicians in contact tracing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) across a large hospital region.

The successful candidate will have high-level knowledge and experience of contemporary approaches to STI contact tracing and be able to promote public health management of STIs and blood-borne viruses.

A key requirement of this role is the ability to educate and support clinicians and other health professionals, as well as provide direct support for complex contact tracing scenarios as required.

  • Education: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Completion of or working towards a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program course approved by Queensland Health and ability to complete Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service application for recognition as an Advanced Practise Nurse within a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program to supply medications under a Drug Therapy Protocol.
