Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to join our team in Melbourne.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this position will be to investigate and respond to security incidents, working closely with a team of experts to identify and mitigate potential threats.

Key aspects of the job include reviewing alert data, identifying malicious activity, and documenting findings in incident reports. This role also involves collaborating with colleagues to communicate with customers and provide technical support as needed.

Additionally, Associate Analysts may be tasked with performing investigation tasks related to remote incident response engagements, helping teams track threat actor actions across environments by examining forensic artifacts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
  • A passion for problem solving and critical thinking
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • A keen curiosity and enthusiasm for learning
  • Willingness to work on a shift schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Fundamental knowledge of security concepts, such as lateral movement and privilege escalation
  • Preferred skills: Security Certifications (e.g., GCIH, CySA+), scripting/coding ability, participation in CTF events, and red team/blue team training tools
