Job Title

The Technical Service Personnel – Controls role involves the preparation, installation, testing and maintenance of controls-related equipment for subsea hardware.

About The Job

This position is responsible for:

  • Install, test, and repair new and reworked products related to subsea controls.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and successful installation of subsea hardware.
  • Address customer requirements and complaints professionally and effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities of this job include:

  1. Installing, testing, and repairing subsea control equipment.
  2. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the safe and successful installation of subsea hardware.
  3. Providing exceptional customer service by addressing their requirements and complaints in a professional and effective manner.
  4. Sales support: informing customers of all job aspects.
  5. Completing Field Service Orders (FSO) and Field Spare Parts Tickets (FSPT) within agreed timelines.
  6. Reporting quality issues and documentation defects to management.
  7. Finalizing field documentation upon job completion.
  8. Supporting project execution and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  9. Preparing and completing safety documentation, promoting safe work practices.
  10. Leading and coordinating task execution in compliance with procedures, codes, and standards.
  11. Acting as on-site supervisor for field service crew and reporting to management.
  12. Assisting in developing procedural requirements for current and future service jobs.
Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a field service technician in subsea controls or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: subsea controls systems, commissioning and topside controls systems, subsea equipment, IWOCS / hydraulics equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and hydraulic drawings.
  • Capability to perform moderately complex technical calculations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and instructional skills with technical tools and instruments.
  • Understanding of relevant industry theories, practices, and internal business processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
