About the Role

St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking a skilled Forensic Clinical Specialist to join our dynamic mental health team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical assessment and consultation services to our clients with complex mental health needs and forensic presentations.

Working in a recovery-focused environment, you will utilize the Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice to provide supervision, education, and leadership to our staff. You will also build strong relationships with external stakeholders and other teams within the mental health program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessments and consultations to clients with complex mental health needs and forensic presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to staff on forensic mental health issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and other teams within the mental health program.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years post-qualification clinical experience in mental health services.
  • Extensive experience in the provision of assessment, discipline-specific intervention, and case management services for clients with complex mental health presentations.
  • Current registration with AHPRA (if applicable).
  • Current Victorian driver's license.
  • Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain.
