About the Role

We are seeking experienced security researchers with a genuine passion for security to work on a critical greenfield software assurance project collaboratively with our cloud and mobile engineering teams. As a Principal Security Researcher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering in-depth security assessments across various products and services. Your next project could involve analyzing complex software products, designing secure systems, or developing testing tools to help engineering teams identify security-related weaknesses.

You will scope and execute security assessments, perform in-depth security evaluations using static and dynamic analysis results, create testing tools to aid engineering teams, and collaborate with them to triage and fix security issues. Additionally, you will mentor junior members of the team in software security best practices.

This role does not require access to a cleared work environment. We offer extensive training and skills development support to further your career aspirations. You will have exposure to large-scale cutting-edge systems, develop new skills and competencies, and impact our systems to delight our customers.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (Electrical Engineering)
  • 10+ years industry experience with 5+ years in IT security in one or more areas: software/product security assessments, penetration testing, red teaming, web application assessments
  • Interest in vulnerability research and exploit development
  • Aptitude for self-study, setting and achieving long-term goals
  • Ability to effectively assess and communicate risks to management and engineering staff
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Oracle offers an inclusive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.

Work Environment

You will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid model (50%) from our North Ryde office. Eligibility to work in Australia without sponsorship is required. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy the challenge of working on complex projects.
