Construction Site Technician

The role of a construction site technician is to install and assemble scaffolding, hoists, and other structural components on building sites. The goal is to ensure safe working conditions for workers by constructing sturdy access structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Scaffolding Assembly and Dismantling: Set up and take down scaffolding systems, including beams and boards.
  • Lifting Equipment Installation: Install and maintain winches, hoists, and other lifting equipment to facilitate the movement of heavy loads.
  • Rooftop Supports and Ladders: Construct secure roof supports, ladders, and other access structures.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough site safety inspections to identify hazards and report any issues promptly.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong physical fitness, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work at heights safely. Experience with power tools and machinery is also essential.

Requirements:
  • A relevant trade qualification (e.g., carpentry, engineering)
  • Experience working on construction sites, preferably in a steel fixing or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

This position requires a professional who can prioritize task management, ensure quality work, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
