Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and driven Food & Beverage Attendant with Conferencing & Events experience to join our team. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences across various service periods. Your primary goal will be to ensure that every guest interaction is memorable and exceeds their expectations.
About the Role
- You will work closely with our events team to set up and break down events in multiple function rooms and event spaces.
- Welcome guests warmly to our food and beverage outlets, greet them with a smile, and provide personalized attention to each guest.
- Stay informed about menu content, changes, and promotional activities to offer expert recommendations.
- Manage customer accounts accurately within our POS system.
- Prepare beverages, act as a barista or bartender as required, and maintain high standards of presentation.
- Deliver consistent and high-quality service to every guest.
- Promote Mercure Perth and contribute to revenue growth by implementing innovative ideas and strategies.
- Showcase flair, passion, and charisma in every interaction, making each guest feel valued and appreciated.
- Participate actively in team discussions, share new ideas, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Maintain impeccable hygiene standards for food handling and presentation.
- Recognize hazards and promote workplace safety practices.
- Be flexible and willing to work across other outlets as needed.
Qualifications
- Hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and drive for conferencing and event operations.
- Have experience setting up, servicing, and breaking down events.
- Be available to work on weekends, public holidays, and have flexibility regarding your schedule.
Estimated Salary: AU$55,000 - AU$65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
