Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Tandem Partners Full time
Role Overview

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a central role in the newly established People Services team—a dynamic function dedicated to building a strong foundation of tools and processes for staff across the organisation.

You will report to the Manager of Workplace Relations & Governance and manage end-to-end employee relations (ER) cases and partner with managers to navigate complex performance matters and support employee development, helping to build a fair, engaged, and high-performing workplace.

About the Role
  • Serve as a trusted expert on all things ER—handling performance management, terminations, promotions, and a variety of generalist HR matters.
  • Make sense of employment law, enterprise agreements, and organisational policies, providing managers and employees with clarity and direction.
  • Partner with the Wellbeing team to support return-to-work initiatives and other employee wellness programs.
  • Be the go-to for inquiries on flexible work arrangements, EBA interpretations, and other key policies.
  • Help develop employee-friendly policies, templates, and intranet content to ensure staff have the tools they need to thrive.
Requirements
  • Solid HR generalist experience with a strength and passion for employee relations.
  • Previous experience working within the P&C function within a unionized environment.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills to build trust with managers and employees alike.
  • Government or public sector experience preferred, though all sectors with a strong ER focus are welcomed.
  • Ideally you would be immediately available to start.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120000 - $128000 per annum, commensurate with your experience.

This is a fixed-term contract position located in Victoria, Australia.
