Expert Risk Manager

Job Description:
">We're seeking an experienced professional to join our Risk Management team as a Risk Consultant. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for someone who wants to take their skills to the next level and drive the implementation and continuous improvement of our organisation's Risk Management Framework.
">- Identify, analyse, evaluate and manage risk exposures and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support informed business decisions.
- Support the ongoing management of risks and controls, including tracking actions, and addressing control deficiencies or inefficiencies.
- Provide periodic assurance over key controls to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives that support a mature and proactive risk culture.
- Assist with maintaining relevant policies and procedures, as well as the risk management information system.
- Assist with the co-ordination of internal audit reviews and monitor the status of audit findings.
- Deliver risk management support, training and education across the business.
- Assist with the preparation and contribute to appropriate reporting for our leadership team and board audit and risk committees.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
">- Excellent communication skills and an ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across the business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risk.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing and continuously improving enterprise-wide risk management frameworks.
- Experience in risk assessment, mitigation and remediation strategies.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Skilled in drafting and maintaining policies and procedures.
- Sound understanding of private health insurance regulatory requirements, or experience in the financial services sector or other highly regulated industries.
- A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a risk-related role.
