Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced industrial blaster/painter for a FIFO opportunity in the Northern Territory. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering quality results in both conventional and airless blasting and painting techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are properly prepared for coating application using conventional and airless spray equipment.
  • Abrasive Blasting: Perform abrasive blasting in accordance with project specifications and safety requirements.
  • Industrial Painting: Apply coatings to meet required standards for surface profiles and coating thicknesses.
  • Confined Spaces and Heights: Carry out work in confined spaces and at heights as required, maintaining a clean, organised, and safe worksite.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an industrial blaster/painter.
  • Proficient in conventional and airless spray techniques.
  • Working at Heights certification – Essential.
  • White Card – Essential.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in the mining or oil & gas sector.
  • Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application (preferred but not mandatory).
  • NACE Level 1 or 2 certification (advantageous).
  • Confined Space Entry certification.
  • EWP/Scissor Lift ticket.
  • Previous FIFO or remote work experience.
