Project Coordination Role

This position plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting various mechanical fabrication projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating capital and routine maintenance projects to drive continuous improvement of plant assets.

  • The individual will support project teams by developing customer requirement specifications, scope of work, design reviews, and hand-over expectations/deliverables.
  • They will also develop technical specifications and tenders to engage contractors for pre-work, shutdown, and commissioning tasks.
  • Project documentation, including drawings, manuals, data sheets, part lists, cataloguing, and punch lists, must be completed accurately.
  • The role involves supporting project handovers by providing technical advice, commissioning, and post-commissioning support.
  • Maintenance and installation activities will be supervised, ensuring that safety standards are always upheld.

About the Candidate

  • Experience with site supervision and industrial project management is essential.
  • A trade qualification, diploma, or degree in a related field such as fabrication or mechanical fitting is required.
  • Understanding or experience interpreting structural fabrication drawings and welding processes is necessary.
  • The ability to influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling, and people demands is crucial.
  • Problem-solving skills in plant process equipment and reliability improvement are vital.
