Senior Geoscientist

Sunwater is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our Geology and Geotechnical team, you will provide expert geotechnical services for water-related infrastructure projects, ensuring they are high quality, economically viable, and safe to undertake.

• Provide state-of-the-art geotechnical services for water infrastructure projects, applying relevant ANCOLD guidelines and addressing technical considerations.
• Manage consultants and liaise with stakeholders to achieve required design outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of geotechnical engineering technology advancements, data acquisition techniques, and methods of data management.
• Mentor and coach geologists, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including consulting, collaborating, negotiating, and delivering complex written technical reports.
• Highly developed technical and risk management skills, with the ability to identify potential asset risks and make recommendations for mitigation strategies.
• Leadership skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and a sustainable business environment for Sunwater, its customers, and the wider community.
