Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing medical care to patients, conducting consultations for simple and complex health conditions.
  • Offer a range of health services, including prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, tailored to the needs of our community.
  • Collaborate with specialists and allied health professionals to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Making appropriate referrals to services and community health initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing education, health promotion, and research to stay up-to-date with best practices.
  • Assist in training colleagues and other health professionals to enhance knowledge sharing and capacity building.
  • Foster continuous improvement in service delivery, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Be registered to practice in Victoria as a medical practitioner with AHPRA (without limitations).
  • Have a strong understanding of and commitment to the Aboriginal community, with experience working in a community-controlled health service.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, building rapport with patients and the community.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and CPD requirements to maintain expertise.
  • Show effective teamwork skills, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge and commitment to occupational health & safety legislation, prioritizing a safe work environment.
