About The RoleThe unit is a 20-bed in-patient ward providing specialist in-patient Geriatric services to Albury Wodonga and surrounding areas. It consists of a multidisciplinary team headed by a Geriatrician, nursing staff, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, social work, and pastoral care worker.
About You / Qualifications- Essential requirements include current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Must have current immunisation of diseases as listed in NSW Health Policy Directive. This is a Category A Risk position.
- A minimum of 2 years post-graduate nursing experience is desirable but not essential. Focused on patient-centred nursing, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills, as well as computer literacy.
- A current Police Record Check is required. Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders is also necessary.
- Employment Type: Permanent full-time and part-time
- Hours: Rotating roster shifts, up to 80 hours per fortnight
- Location: Mercy Health facility
