This role offers the opportunity to work with partners Tamara Brezzi, Nick Sutton, Elisa de Wit and Jacqueline Plant on litigious and non-litigious environment and planning law matters across the public and private sectors.

Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in a mix of transactional, advisory and litigation work in areas such as major project approvals, environmental licensing and compliance, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Court proceedings, contaminated land and waste management, water law, risk management and incident response.

In addition, the role provides opportunities for career development through our International Academy, an award-winning programme that prepares individuals for each step in their legal careers.

The academy complements excellent practical experience gained through working with supportive partners who operate at the top of their field.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of years PQE ideally gained within a reputable Environment & Planning practice.
  • Experience and expertise with planning litigation, advice and project management.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong drafting skills.
  • Strong academic achievements.
