About the Role

We seek a highly skilled multi-combination license holder to join our logistics team in Rowville. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely delivering freight to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick-up and delivery of freight as per your shift schedule and customer requirements.
  • Maintain good customer relations at all times and provide professional and courteous service.
  • Comply with all transport laws and regulations relating to mass, dimension, load restraint, speed, fatigue management, vehicle maintenance, and vehicle standards.
  • Comply with safe operating procedures.
  • Complete and record pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Record accurate driving hours and rest break records in accordance with legislative requirements (driver daily worksheets and/or work diaries or log books).
  • Ensure company vehicles are clean and fuelled at all times. Report any vehicle defects promptly.
  • Be a safe and courteous road user at all times.

Requirements:

  • Holding a valid multi-combination license.
  • Previous experience as a transport driver.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously as part of a bigger team.
  • Diplomacy and initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicles.
