About the Position

  • Deliver innovative solutions to diverse projects locally, nationally, and internationally through consultancy and technical services.
  • Contribute to business development activities with new and existing clients to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Assess and advise on feasible solutions for clients following risk evaluations.
  • Evaluate water infrastructure (dams, levees, drainage works) from planning to operation across various industries, focusing on the resources sector.
  • Apply fundamental principles of flood modeling (hydrologic and hydraulic) and water balance modeling to assessments including: Flood studies, surface water impact analyses; watercourse diversion designs, monitoring, and rehabilitation; water management plans; and erosion control measures.

About You

  • 6+ years' professional experience in water resources engineering, demonstrating technical expertise within a consultancy environment.
  • Relevant tertiary engineering degree (civil, environmental).
  • Proven ability to build relationships, develop business, and project manage.
  • Strong knowledge of local and Australian standards, statutory requirements, and regulatory frameworks for civil design and water management.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a well-rounded approach.
  • Mentoring junior staff as required and effective interpersonal communication skills to manage stakeholders.
