Job Summary

We are seeking multiple Mechanical Fitters to join a leading engineering and mining services provider dedicated to supporting various shutdowns and ongoing maintenance throughout South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting maintenance, repairs, and installations of conveyor systems, pumps, furnaces, and plant machinery.
  • Overhauling and maintaining pumps to ensure efficiency.
  • Fabrication and welding tasks as needed for equipment modifications.
  • Participating in shutdowns and planned maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with furnaces and plant equipment.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in heavy industrial settings.
  • Proficiency in working with conveyors, pumps, fabrication, maintenance, shutdowns, furnaces, and plant equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent).
  • Confined Spaces ticket.
  • High Risk Work Licence (WP)

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel remotely within South Australia and nationally as required.
