The Role of a Sociology and Psychology Teacher

This role engages students in exploring human behaviour, society, and culture through thought-provoking lessons. By combining theory with real-world application, the role helps students critically examine social issues, psychological concepts, and the forces that shape individual and collective identities.

  • Detailed lesson planning using various teaching strategies and resources to inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and support student success.
  • Regular assessment and constructive feedback guide students in their academic growth, while accurate record-keeping ensures progress is effectively monitored.
  • Collaboration with supportive colleagues, strengthening connections within the school community, and partnering with families to ensure every student thrives.

To be eligible for this role, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching qualification, as well as ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration and ACT Teacher Quality Institute registration.
