Job Description:

  1. The role of an ICT business analyst involves working closely with users and key stakeholders to establish and capture business requirements.
  2. This includes creating technical specifications for system functionality, communicating them effectively to internal stakeholders, and assessing proposed solutions.
  3. Additionally, the ICT business analyst must create a project proposal that includes a budget and resource allocation plan to increase the accuracy and efficiency of delivery.
  4. They are also responsible for creating user manuals for technical reference and providing end-user technical support.
  5. The ICT business analyst collaborates directly with users to optimize current business processes and recommend functional solutions.
  6. They determine the risks and difficulties related to project delivery, help with mitigation strategies, and escalate as required.
  7. The ICT business analyst engages in end-to-end system and business process reviews with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
  8. They analyze current business processes and provide suggestions for improvement and implementation.
  9. The ICT business analyst leads the development of design and test cases for user acceptance testing in collaboration with developers and testers.
  10. They articulate requirements for development teams through user stories and acceptance criteria.
  11. Documentation of Functional and Non-functional Requirements is also a critical aspect of this role.
  12. The ICT business analyst supports the delivery and implementation of software, services, and systems in accordance with client requirements.
  13. They identify and communicate any potential issues or delays to the business manager where appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher-level qualifications or equivalent in Information Technology or Business Analysis.
  2. A minimum of three years of relevant experience working as an ICT business analyst within the last five years.
  3. The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  4. Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, including providing leadership to a small team.
  5. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience with diagnostic tools or methodologies.
  6. Excellent oral communication skills.
