Job SummaryWe're looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to fill this key role. As a Hand Therapy Specialist, you'll play a crucial part in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or conditions.
As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring function, mobility, and strength to their hands and arms. Your expertise and compassionate care will make a significant impact on our patients' lives as they journey towards recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with hand and upper extremity conditions to identify the most effective treatment approaches.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Provide expert therapy, exercises, and manual techniques to improve mobility, strength, and function, enhancing overall patient satisfaction.
- Educate patients on self-management techniques and home exercises to facilitate seamless recovery and reduce hospital readmissions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care and streamlined communication.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution, with a strong focus on hand therapy.
- Current registration and licensure with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia, demonstrating compliance with industry standards.
- Specialisation or experience in Hand Therapy is highly desirable, showcasing your expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Excellent clinical assessment and hands-on therapy skills, enabling you to provide top-notch treatment and support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and patient engagement.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing patient-centered care and delivering exceptional results.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice, staying up-to-date with the latest research and innovations in hand therapy.
We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and background.
