Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Technology Lead to spearhead Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and traffic engineering design projects. The role involves delivering innovative transport technology solutions, managing project delivery, fostering client relationships, and contributing to strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage ITS and traffic engineering design projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Develop infrastructure designs from concept through to detailed construction by working with teams to develop engineering solutions and document these.
  • Manage subcontractors, quality assurance, and client communication, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Undertake systems engineering assessments and strategic planning for transport technology.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated designs that meet client requirements.
Requirements:
  • Relevant engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in transportation technology.
  • 7+ years' experience in ITS, Communications Design, Traffic Engineering, or related fields within consultancy or construction, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Expertise in developing and assessing transport technology systems, including proficiency in electrical engineering, power systems, and asset planning.
  • Familiarity with new technologies and innovative approaches in transport engineering, with a focus on sustainability and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong industry ties, demonstrated credibility in a consulting environment, and excellent technical skills, with the ability to leverage coding, data analytics, automation, and GIS to build support tools for the team.
