Helping Hands Support Group Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a weekly support group for individuals in need.
The role involves facilitating the meeting, ensuring participants feel comfortable and supported. Full training is provided.
Dads in Distress operates as a frontline community-based program, preventing many hundreds of suicides across Australia each year. By joining this initiative, you will be part of a vital network that makes a real difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities- Attend the designated meeting location each week for two hours; typically evening or weekend
- Prepare the meeting space, setting out chairs as required
- Facilitate discussions, fostering a safe and supportive environment
- You must have personal experience of being a separated dad to effectively connect with group members
- No formal qualifications are necessary, as full training is provided upon commencement
- Contribute to a pioneering program making a tangible impact on mental health
- Gain valuable skills and experience in facilitation and leadership
- This is an entry-level position within the non-profit sector
