The Role

This leadership role involves overseeing the entire warehouse and transport function to achieve common objectives every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse, including transport, stock control, and logistics.
  • Evaluate staff and branch work practices to ensure compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain all KPIs and targets within agreed timeframes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer outcomes and branch profitability in collaboration with the management team.
  • Maintain the warehouse, vehicles, and tools to standard specifications.
  • Support stock control, replenishment, and supply chain objectives.

Key Competencies, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an operations management role, preferably in the food services industry.
  • Knowledge or experience in a cold store environment.
  • Good industry and product knowledge.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Well-developed leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, including motivating others and creating a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within expected deadlines.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • MR and Forklift license essential.
  • Certificate III in Transport & Logistics would be preferred.
