Job Description
Every day is different but each day you will have the opportunity to assist people to return to wellness, work and ultimately experience an improved quality of life.
You will:
- Engage in formal and experiential training to develop necessary skills;
- Assess client needs, develop strategies and interventions for a safe return to pre-injury activities;
- Play a key role in a multidisciplinary approach to recovery and return to work, always prioritizing clients' best interests;
- Perform assessments such as initial assessments, functional capacity assessments, early intervention, home, worksite and ergonomic assessments, as well as vocational assessments;
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the process including the ill or injured individual, their treating health practitioners, employers and insurers.
New team members are matched with a buddy and enjoy comprehensive induction programs combined with ongoing workplace mentoring.
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy;
- Current (or working towards) registration with AHPRA;
- National Police Check (within the last 2 years) & a current Working With Children Check;
- Strong communication skills to build positive working relationships;
- A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and associated health benefits;
- A current NSW driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance is required.
