Senior Technical Leader

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Technical Leader to oversee the maintenance team in our Smithfield manufacturing facility.

About the Role

This pivotal position involves driving operational efficiency, plant reliability, and team success in a dynamic environment dedicated to sustainable packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Visy's OHS, GMP, and risk management standards, promoting a safety-first culture and implementing effective preventative measures.
  • Plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate major repairs, and continuously improve maintenance processes to optimize uptime and productivity.
  • Effectively manage critical spares inventory, ensuring availability for high-demand maintenance requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance to the trades team, maintaining a high standard of performance and addressing non-compliance proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues affecting plant performance, implementing data-driven solutions to improve productivity and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualified as Electrician or Fitter, with hands-on leadership experience, ideally within Corrugated, FMCG, or other manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record in maintenance team management, with a focus on continuous improvement and results-driven leadership.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities, with experience in optimizing maintenance practices and driving plant performance.
