POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Assistant Store Manager at JD Sports, you embody a mindset of innovation and a commitment to excellence. We pride ourselves on not just following trends but setting them, and we seek individuals who share our passion for sports fashion. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the Store Manager to motivate your team and drive outstanding performance across all aspects of the store.

You will play a crucial role in managing daily operations to meet and exceed financial targets while ensuring that product presentation aligns with our brand standards. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for both staff and customer inquiries, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

COMMERCIAL FOCUS AND GROWTH

  • Communicate sales objectives and key performance indicators to the team, monitoring progress daily.
  • Manage conversion rates, average transaction value, and units per transaction to drive growth.
  • Address any performance issues promptly to maintain high standards.
  • Assist the Store Manager in creating and evaluating staff schedules.
  • Conduct daily store walkthroughs with the Store Manager and Visual Merchandiser to ensure that visual merchandising meets JD standards and effectively engages customers.

ADAPTABILITY AND EFFICIENCY

  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to evolving processes and procedures due to the rapid growth of JD Sports.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while effectively managing the team across all areas of the store.
  • Handle multiple priorities, including team management, sales goals, promotional launches, visual merchandising, inventory control, and marketing efforts.
  • Delegate tasks to other managers to ensure that store operations align with company directives.

TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Set clear daily and weekly expectations to inspire and motivate your team.
  • Train staff on loss prevention protocols and lead by example to ensure compliance.
  • Provide regular updates to the Store Manager regarding operational and team performance, highlighting key achievements.
  • Inspire and support your team to deliver a world-class shopping experience for our customers.
