We are seeking a skilled professional to play a vital role in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of compliance to legislation, policy and procedures. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with our leadership team to implement and manage our WHS Management System.
As a Safety and Environmental Risk Management Professional, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the implementation and management of our WHS Management System
- Providing advice in accordance with relevant WHS legislation, Australian Standards, directives, processes, procedures and guidelines;
- Conducting safety & environmental risk assessments;
- Ensuring mitigation processes for identified hazards are in place and communicated;
- Conducting audits, inspections and observations in accordance with project scope;
- Monitoring of contractors and adherence to client requirements
- Facilitating, developing and providing relevant safety information and communications to site leadership team for toolbox briefings, inductions and prestart briefings;
- Conducting incident investigations, undertaking WHS reporting and project analysis.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams at all levels. You will have a proven track record in construction safety management and be able to work effectively in field environments.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary package, including 12.5% superannuation, 17.5% leave loading, and up to $900 in electricity reimbursement each year. They will also have access to award-winning national recognised training, an outstanding culture of safety and well-being, and a supportive environment that fosters and recognises achievement.
