Project Officer for Economic Development

This role involves coordinating with stakeholders to identify and/or assess investment opportunities, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to attract and facilitate high value investment in Queensland.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and coordinating input into assessment of the commercial and economic merits of private sector investment proposals and their alignment with the Sovereign Industry Develop Fund (SIDF).
  • Applying commercial acumen and a strong understanding of economic development and private sector investment drivers to the assessment of applications to the SIDF.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to identify and/or assess investment opportunities, and supporting the departments management in negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders to progress opportunities.
  • Identifying, researching and analysing current and emerging economic and industry development trends impacting on business investment and assessing implications for investment opportunities and economic outcomes.
