As the Head of Learning Area English, you will be responsible for leading staff in the effective implementation of the English Curriculum and the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses across the learning area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing high-quality English programs and assessments
  • Leading curriculum delivery and ensuring consistent implementation of the College Teaching, Learning & Assessment Framework
  • Providing meaningful performance development to staff members

Additionally, you will model and promote a culture of ongoing learning, self-reflection, and personal growth as the leader of the English learning area.

You will work collaboratively with students, parents, and other staff members to ensure student success and achieve planned outcomes.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

They will also possess professional knowledge and experience in leading literacy development and improvement outcomes across the English learning area.
