About the position:
Main Responsibilities- Geological assessments and analysis
- Ground support design and review, including slopes, foundations, tunnels and mines
- Review of ground support systems
- Design parameter recommendations
- Foundation analysis and evaluation
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop mining plans
- Preparation of technical reports and presentations
All work is conducted in compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Degree in Civil, Mining or Geotechnical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, preferably within the mining industry
- Strong technical knowledge of soil and rock mechanics, slope stability analysis and ground support design
- Proficiency in using geotechnical software and modelling tools
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental sustainability
