The Role

As a Technical Marine Claims Consultant, your duties will include:

  • Providing technical support, coaching, and development to claims consultants within the marine claims team, ensuring high-quality service and strong relationships with insured clients, legal representatives, and brokers.
  • Maintaining compliance with statutory and service standards, including privacy regulations, and managing claims proactively from notification through to resolution.
  • Determining and communicating indemnity decisions promptly and accurately.
  • Accurately documenting claims processes and outcomes, negotiating settlements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical expertise in marine claims, policy interpretation, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $140,000 plus superannuation, reflecting the importance of this role in our organization. Additionally, you can enjoy a work-life balance with flexibility to work from home and flexible start/finish times.
