Job Title:

Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the effective operation of plant equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing planned maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and facilities according to schedules
  • Responding promptly to equipment and machinery breakdowns, forming a critical part of our escalation policy
  • Carrying out repairs, replacements, and refurbishments of various parts, components, and systems
  • Supporting the installation, relocation, and modification of equipment and machinery as required
  • Awareness of continuous improvement opportunities through maintenance activity and communicating potential improvements
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activity, including DT reports, work orders, and stores inventory
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards
  • Upholding 5S standards through all maintenance work areas
  • Collaborating with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize operational disruption
Requirements:
  • A clear working knowledge of differing equipment, machinery, and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
  • The ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues
  • An understanding of safety regulations and the ability to perform dynamic risk assessments
  • Effective communication skills and time management
Qualifications:
  • A relevant vocational qualification (NVQ, ONC, C&G) with an appropriate apprenticeship
  • At least one year's experience post-apprenticeship within a maintenance environment
Nice to Have:
  • Three or more years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience
  • Forklift truck license
  • IPAF license
