This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the implementation of plans and programs whilst ensuring safe work practices and effective deployment of workcentre staff. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the leadership and day-to-day management of staff engaged in forest and fire operations activities.

About The Role:

  • ">
  • Manage and lead staff involved in critical forest and fire operations">
  • Oversee the implementation of plans and programs">
  • Ensure safe work practices and effective deployment of workcentre staff">
  • Deliver a wide range of operational tasks and fire prevention activities">
  • Have experience in managing works programs in one or more of the following areas: planned burning, unsealed road management or other operational forest management activities">
  • Have experience and understanding of forest firefighting techniques, the Australian Interagency Incident Management System and other emergency response activities">
  • Have a strong understanding of operational forest management, emergency response and staff management">

The Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking proactive and well-organised individuals who have experience in managing works programs and a strong understanding of operational forest management, emergency response and staff management. You will also have experience and understanding of forest firefighting techniques, the Australian Interagency Incident Management System and other emergency response activities.

This position is ongoing and available in the regional location of Powelltown, Victoria. You will have the chance to explore and protect stunning landscapes whilst earning a competitive salary ranging from $75,361 to $82,298 per annum, plus superannuation.
