Job Opportunity

  • Nurse - General Practice role available in a leading medical practice in Calliope, Central Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, examinations and treatments.
  • Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, ear syringing and venipuncture.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments including chronic disease management and preventive care.
  • Provide patient education and counselling on various health topics including medication management, lifestyle modifications and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records system.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and referrals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with clinical guidelines and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled/Registered Nurse qualification and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Previous experience working as a General Practice Nurse or in a primary care setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems preferably Best Practice.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
