Procurement Specialist

The Purchasing Officer role is crucial for our organization, accountable for ensuring the quality and safety of food products. We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead purchasing activities, collaborate with production teams, and manage inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain compliance with federal and state legislative standards, including SQF and HACCP.
- Analyze, document, and report production quality issues and outcomes.
- Ownership of purchasing functions, coordination, and tracking of international cargo and shipping movements.
- Production planning, scheduling, and forecasting.
- Quality assurance aligned with food safety guidelines.
- Experience in the food industry supply chain with knowledge of production processes.
- Purchasing expertise and proficiency in ERP software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with food and beverage categories.
- Ability to work independently within a team and communicate effectively with all departments.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor and high standard of personal presentation.
