The Purchasing Officer role is crucial for our organization, accountable for ensuring the quality and safety of food products. We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead purchasing activities, collaborate with production teams, and manage inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state legislative standards, including SQF and HACCP.
  • Analyze, document, and report production quality issues and outcomes.
  • Ownership of purchasing functions, coordination, and tracking of international cargo and shipping movements.
  • Production planning, scheduling, and forecasting.
  • Quality assurance aligned with food safety guidelines.
Candidate Traits:
  • Experience in the food industry supply chain with knowledge of production processes.
  • Purchasing expertise and proficiency in ERP software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with food and beverage categories.
  • Ability to work independently within a team and communicate effectively with all departments.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor and high standard of personal presentation.
