We are seeking an experienced and passionate veterinarian to join our dynamic team at the University of Adelaide's Companion Animal Health Centre. As a Casual Veterinarian, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care and services to small animal patients on a 24/7 roster.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who is enthusiastic about delivering exceptional clinical service and care, with a strong drive to excel in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with a supportive team of vets, nurses, and students to provide emergency and critical care services to a diverse range of small animal patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality veterinary care and services to small animal patients on a 24/7 roster
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Contributing to the clinical education of final-year veterinary students under close supervision
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Veterinary qualification with eligibility to be registered as a veterinarian in South Australia
  • Demonstrated experience in first opinion or emergency services, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients and team members
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and experience in assisting, teaching, or mentoring others
  • Demonstrated high-level written communication skills, including the ability to keep detailed, accurate medical records and write professional referral letters and client correspondence
